SCOTLAND

Aberdeen – Balmedie/Blackdog beach

Saturday 1st September.   Meet at 4pm for a 430pm Skinny Dip Meet on the beach beyond the North End of the Black Dog Firing Range. OS Ref. NJ 96962-15393.  This can be reached from Blackdog or Balmedie.  Balmedie is better parking but a slightly longer walk.  Two BN flags will be planted either side of the designated area with a notice to indicate the swimming area.  A union jack will indicate the gathering/ dispersal area.  The registered charity for this event is the Multiple Myeloma charity.  They are providing a collection box for the day so cash donations can be made on the day but there will be an opportunity to donate on line through ‘Just Giving’ as well.   The council and police have been advised of the GBSD event. Advice to participants; Bring a flask of a hot sugary drink, a towel and warm clothing.  If a chance of rain a waterproof and windproof jacket. There will be an emergency shelters to fit 4 to 6 people if required. Participants swim at their own risk, remembering it’s a skinny dip not a swimming marathon.   For further details please contact John,  07926052727 email : r.john.hughes@sky.com

Forth Naturists Daring Dawn Dip 2018!

The Forth Naturist’s Daring Dawn Dip is planned to make a comeback one morning this September, just as the sun comes up, on the East Lothian beach.   It’s a sponsored event in aid of Marie Curie Hospice. ENGLAND

Beacon Tarn

Saturday August 25th at 10.30 am: Skinny dip and picnic (weather permitting) at Beacon Tarn near Coniston,  Meet at 10.30 a.m at Brown Howe Car Park near Coniston, Cumbria LA12 8DW for a 2 mile walk. Short grid ref SD 290 910  OR: Meet at the tarn at about 11.45 am. The walk is signposted and illustrated on the wall of the toilet block at Brown Howe. If the car park is full there is some parking a little further down the road.

Hampshire

Saturday 1st September  Avonvale Sun Club, Highwood Copse, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 3LZ.   There will be a Macmillan Coffee Morning 10am to 1pm  this will be a clothed event (shocking for a naturist club) to encourage non naturist neighbours, friends and allcomers to visit followed by Great British Skinny Dip  2pm to 5pm  (obviously naturist)   This is a “Dare to Bare” Skinny Dip as part of the Great British Skinny Dip season.  All visitors and newcomers welcome   Donation to charity   Contact :- Ken and Lorraine 023 80490947 07768019420 or email avonvalesc@gmail.com    Web: www.avonvalenaturistclub.co.uk/index.asp

WALES

Monknash near Llantwit Major on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast

Saturday 8th September : Meet in the car park at 930am then walk to the beach.  Arrive at beach about 10am with swim schedule 1045-11am. Contact: Andy Griffiths, 0781 777 3479. Email : andyscribe@hotmail.com. The tide is right for a skinny dip at Monknash near Llantwit Major on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast.  We will meet at the car park (Grid ref SS 91272 70036) at 11am and walk down through the Cwm, across the pebble beach and on to the big sandy stretch known as Traeth Mawr. The 40 minute walk is unsuitable for those with mobility problems since there are three stiles and the steep path can be uneven and slippery at times.
